Mark Stuart is Professor of Employment Relations and Director of the Centre for Employment Relations Innovation and Change (CERIC) at the University of Leeds. Mark has researched and published widely on the modernisation of employment relations, trade union change, skills formation and union-led learning. He has conducted numerous evaluations of the Union Modernisation Fund and Union Learning Fund, for the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills and unionlearn. He has held visiting academic positions at Cornell, Sydney and Monash and is currently the joint-Editor-in-Chief of the academic journal Work, Employment and Society and Chair of the International Section of the American Labour and Employment Relations Association.
